A must-see in Yangmingshan is the Flower Clock, a historical landmark installed during the 1950s to showcase Taiwan’s horticulture. Seasonal blooms colorfully surround the clock, providing a fresh visual experience with each visit. Comfortable benches invite guests to relax and enjoy the surroundings. Nearby shaded paths are perfect for spotting playful squirrels darting through the trees.

Hot Springs Culture
As soon as you enter Beitou, the pace of life seems to slow. The public hot foot bath area is particularly popular among elderly locals, who gather to soak their feet while exchanging stories or simply watching the steam rise from the warm waters. It’s an inviting spot for visitors to pause and appreciate the area’s rich hot spring culture.
Before using the foot baths, guests are encouraged to wash their feet at designated faucets. Small personal storage cubicles ensure that visitors can enjoy their experience comfortably without worrying about their belongings.
The Enchanting Beitou Thermal Valley
A short stroll from the main road leads to the mesmerizing Beitou Thermal Valley. Here, mineral-rich hot spring water flows beneath a cloud of steam, creating an ethereal atmosphere, especially on cooler days. Fun fact: The popular Taiwanese band IV of Spades filmed the music video for their hit song “Aura” in Qingtiangang Grassland, adding a cultural reference to this picturesque location.
