Where are the e-gates located?

Travelers at Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) in Delhi can now enjoy a smoother journey thanks to the Trusted Traveller Programme (FTI-TTP). This program is operational at Terminal 3, which houses eight e-gates—four designated for arrivals and four for departures. These e-gates enable swift immigration clearance for passengers, making the process easier for both incoming and outgoing travelers. Excitingly, plans are in motion to introduce similar facilities at other international airports across India, amplifying convenience for air travel enthusiasts.

Who is eligible for FTI-TTP?

The Fast Track Immigration – Trusted Traveller Programme (FTI-TTP) is tailored to expedite immigration for specific passenger categories, ensuring a hassle-free experience for regular travelers, expatriates, and eligible immigrants.

Requirements and validity

  • Passport validity: To apply for the FTI-TTP, your passport must possess a minimum of six months of validity from the date of application.

  • Registration validity: Once registered, your FTI-TTP enrollment is valid for five years or until your passport expires, whichever event comes first.

How does the process work?

Step 1: Pre-register online

To kick-start your journey, navigate to the official FTI-TTP website at www.ftittp.mha.gov.in. You’ll find a ‘Login/Sign Up’ button; click it! If you’re a newcomer to the site, provide your mobile number and verify it using the one-time password (OTP) sent to you.

Once verified, fill out the registration form and upload the required documents:

  • Passport-sized photograph: Ensure your photo meets Indian passport specs, is not older than six months, and that your face occupies 75% of the image, including your ears.

  • Scanned copy of passport: Include the front page featuring your photo and personal details, as well as the last page displaying family details.

  • Proof of present address.

  • Scanned copy of OCI card: Upload the biographic details page along with the page containing family and address information.

Upon submission, a confirmation notification will be sent to your registered mobile number and email address, putting you on the path to faster travel.

Step 2: Biometric enrolment

After registration, you’ll receive a notification prompting you to schedule a biometric appointment. This appointment can be completed at a dedicated counter at Delhi Airport or at any Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO). Once you’ve completed biometric registration, you’ll unlock the full benefits of the Trusted Traveller Programme, paving the way for seamless immigration clearance during your travels.
