Responding to this escalating climate of hostility, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in the UK organized a significant event on June 15, 2025—a Welcome Dinner aimed specifically at new members who have immigrated to the UK over the past three years. This gathering served multiple purposes: it was meant to extend a heartfelt welcome, to facilitate guidance in integration into British society, and most importantly, to assure these new arrivals that the community stands firmly beside them as they navigate this challenging transition.
The event was presided over by Rafiq Ahmed Hayat Sahib, National President (Amir) of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community UK. The evening’s formalities took off at 5:45 PM BST, initiating with a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by an evocative poem, and a welcome speech delivered by Mubarik Siddiqi Sahib, Regional President of the Baitul Futuh Chapter. Each element of the program was designed to foster a sense of belonging and community.
An engaging question-and-answer session was a highlight of the evening, during which attendees had the opportunity to pose a diverse range of questions concerning personal challenges they may face in their early days in the UK.
